Jennifer Echols has been involved in entertainment for several years and is recognized for her acting and singing abilities.

Jennifer’s outgoing personality, sense of humor and natural talent were apparent at a young age. Even then she was truly an entertainer; never missing an opportunity to perform songs with dance choreography and recite lengthy speeches for family, friends and strangers. Her parents supported that passion with singing and dance lessons, season tickets to plays, concerts, operas and professional sporting events.

Her charismatic charms and developed skills were soon recognized when she was rewarded as soloist in her church, high school and community choirs along with roles in her high school’s plays and musicals.

Advanced studies resulted in receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Southern California where she studied voice and drama.  She is remembered there as soloist and member of the Trojan Chorale, Concert Choir and in captivating stage roles including A Raisin in the Sun, L’il Abner, Wedding Band and The Autobiography of Miss Jane Pittman. Her Directing and Producing skills evolved during the 3rd and 4th annual Evening of Soul student talent shows.

After graduation from USC, she was a member of the Paul Robeson Players and Lafayette Players West performing in numerous theatrical productions; toured as a solo specialty dancer with R&B/Blues singer/songwriter Joe Tex – with performances on American Bandstand and Soul Train; sang on various studio artist’s recordings, Talent Showcases and Special Events; became lead singer for several Los Angeles based R&B/Pop groups including Instant Heat, Glory and Bermuda Triangle and appeared in Feature Films, Television Shows and Commercials.

Her recent acting credits include My Name Is Khan, 10 Items or Less, In the Mix, The Notebook,  Down In the Valley, Back to You and Me, My Name is Earl, Dexter, The Shield and ER . . . . to name a few.

Some of her previous endeavors have taken her to India filming with Global Superstars Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol alongside visionary director Karan Johar; to Mexico where she performed with International Pop sensation Juan Gabriel; to Egypt on the Sphinx II Cruise Ship singing down the Nile River and on national tours in original theatrical musical productions.

Jennifer sings regularly for private parties and special events. Her latest projects focus on developing her One-Woman-Show and TV Sit-com, recording R&B, Contemporary Blues, Jazz, Pop and Gospel music. You have probably heard her perform the National Anthem at professional sporting events throughout Southern California. Her vast vocal talents allow her to transition from The Classics to Jazz to Gospel with no effort.

Keep your eyes and ears open for this rising star.
